Pixlbit Nation how are you on this fine Friday Morning? I’ve been stop and go this morning, which included a trip to the local Starbucks for a croissant for breakfast. While there I five folks on laptops and one random dude with an iPad and headphones. I think he was watching something interesting, while everyone else was pretending to be doing some work. I couldn’t do much there, its too noisy, and I would just feel awkward, but that’s just my opinion. Since it is Friday, let’s get some Quick Hits started, before I make my way out to find some Fish and Chips.

Girls

 

The season finale is the first episode of the season where I genuinely liked all four main characters. In this episode all the characters grew up. Hannah finally stood up for herself, and moved passed her friendship with the teen girl. Marnie became a solid solo singer (with a little push from Ray), Shos is doing something for herself instead of doing things to please others, and Jessa finally has a direction. I get that this season was more of the same of the wandering around trying to figure out life, and it all came to this point where they found their direction.

My new favorite character is Ray. Ray was the guy who had his head on straight but also needed a push and I think running for city council was good for him. His confession of his love for Marnie also changed him his rant on Marnie’s Fiancé Desi was hilarious. Ray replaced Adam as my favorite character because his flip-flopping was getting old. I can’t wait to see what happens next season.

SHIELD

SHIELD is getting crazy with new SHIELD vs. Coulson’s SHIELD (Apparently the world needs two versions of the same group.) I really want to see how this plays out and who will show up from the Movie World (so far we had Lady Sif and Nick Fury.) Again I'm wondering if this is part of the new Avengers flick.

 

NCAA Basketball

While being stuck in traffic on the 91 Freeway last night I booted up the March Madness app on my phone (I wasn’t driving) and caught some of the Kentucky vs. WVU game. Holy cow is Kentucky really this good, or is WVU really that bad?

 

Vanderpump Rules

I watched the season finale and the two part reunion episodes on the Bravo App because I always miss the regular airing. Anyways on the finale we get to see how everyone is handling the situations they are in, Stassi shows up, and proceeds to finish off burning any bridges she had with her former co-workers and friends. They’re all dysfunctional but they do make great/trashy TV

 

The Challenge Battle of the Exes II and Reunion Show

The finale aired this past week along with the reunion show and it lived up to the hype. We had the three teams in Norway who had to do the usual variety of challenges including climbing to the top of a mountain to win $125 thousand dollars. The rookies Jay and Jenna sucked and quit during the drinking the liquid that was probably fish oil or something random. Jenna the girl who refused to eat seafood had no problem drinking part of her 7 glasses while her partner quit after 1 and a half glasses. It got so bad that TJ came, asked them if they were going to quit, and he started crying. CRYING. Seriously who cries during this show? Man up. Third place is 15 grand, drink the 7 glasses and move on.

 

Jay’s reaction to people on Twitter. Something, something 15 minutes of fame…Yup winning over fans by saying things like "watch me on TV."  

During the reunion Jay tried to defend himself by acting like he belonged and everyone shot him down. This team was terrible and out of all people Jenna stepped up on the food challenge. I hope he isn't coming back for the next Challenge and instead we get Bruno, Nicole, and Jason from the last Real World. I also want to see someone take Bruno's food just so he can blow up in front of the vets who don't take that kind of crap.

There was so much hype around Green Batman vs. Fake Ironman and it was underwhelming. What could have been cool turned into a “She chose you not me” moment. C’mon now. Easily the best portion of the show was the Suicide Squad mission. That was good. Also what happened to Shado? The biggest reveal last week wasn’t even touched on.

So I’m teaching myself how to use all the manual features I sit outside with a notebook, and write down all the different settings I’m using along with the image numbers to see what I want to improve on and other fun stuff I took a couple of shots that I like how they came out (one heck of a run on sentence.)

I took this yesterday for Air Max Day.  

I’m still tinkering and what not, and hopefully a month or so down the road I’ll get a better understanding of the settings. I do want to try taking night pictures using the little remote control and tripod. I think I may have found a new hobby.

I'm not sure on what to think about the new film. I want it to work but I'm unsure of how everyone is going to relate to each other. Also so far Aquaman is still the coolest looking character in the film

 

The God of War Glitch

On Wednesday the PS Store all of a sudden was offering God of War Ascension for free

 

While some folks were able to grab it, I tried and kept getting this screen

 

Some people got it for free, I was being charged the PS+ price of $8. I tried buying it on the app, and on the PS3, but it wasn’t happening. I did see that the DLC for the game was also free so I went to buy that and then I got this screen

 

It quickly became unavailable. Reading through the thread on CAG, I found out that it could be found under Account Services on the PS3, and sure enough I have the DLC. I own the physical game so I really don’t care about the digital copy, but I have the DLC. At some point I might try the new stuff, but as of right now, it’ll stay in my account.

I haven’t visited this GameStop in a month so to me they had a bunch of new stuff

 

Yes because I don’t have enough copies of this game. Let’s play it again on the PS4. Everything Is Awesome!

This game I pointed out to my cousin because he likes Steel Books. He put it down because he thought it was going to miss some items, so I grabbed it and well it is complete

 

Not bad for $4.

 

I found a new DS game to replace my Asphalt game when I eventually complete the Challenge Mode

 

It’s another $4 game and I guess you can design the tracks which sounds interesting along with some Rally stuff.

 

This game I bought because it was only .89 cents (I wanted to say this in a Macklemore voice but it wasn’t .99 cents)

 

Judging by the box info, you fly around in a big robot and shoot the bad guy. We’ll see how good/bad this is because it was .89 cents *cue the saxophone

 

PS Store had a $1 flash sale on a bunch of games. I bought a good chuck of them over the past couple of years so my choices were limited but there were games that caught my attention

 

Mad Riders is a decent off road racer, and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire is fun. I was breezing through the questions until I hit the 32,000 question of what was the winning had Jack had to win the ticket on the Titanic in the movie. I thought it was a Royal Flush but it turns out it was a full house, so I lost. I admit I was looking ahead to the million dollar question which was about the NHL and I knew it was going to be easy. Oh well I got cocky and that’s what happens.

Added more pop music to my library thanks to iTunes

 

I didn’t hear about her until buying that single Boom Clap and then the album her solo album. This was her album year before that one. So far I’ve listened to half and it isn’t bad.

Masters of the Universe Man At Arms

 

Starting Lineup Ryne Sandberg (early 90s Chris would have been excited for this)

 

GI Joe Ninja Force figure Slice. My brother and I had the majority of these figures where they had a special move, like this guy’s arm would do a karate chop. Also his torso wouldn’t move.

A family sells nothing but figures, and cars for a $1 so I might go back tomorrow to buy the rest of the He-Man’s and to see if they have any more GI Joes.

 

Fake Lego lady had restocked her stuff and I bought up the majority of the Spider-man figures (I left the two figures that I have the authentic Lego figures of, so I have the “complete set”)

This was actually $5 and I wanted the Ninja Turtle Figure. All I need is Raphael and I have all four.

 

Another $5 set I bought for the torso of one of the figures so I can make an Agent Coulson for my Avengers figures

 

The Ultra Agents sets are really interesting especially with the special pieces you can scan on your tablet and use in game, but they’re just not my thing.

Alright Pixlbit, I am off to enjoy the weekend. I’ll probably end up sitting outside trying to take pictures of hummingbirds or something random with my notebook. Have a good weekend!
