Clementine and Ninja Gaiden

I was talking to Chris Yarger about Ninja Gaiden and we both admitted that we each owned every version of that game:  Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and the Vita version.  Well, dammit, that game is just THAT good.

In other news, I've been playing a lot of Inquisition.  I'm about ten hours in now, and moving at a steady clip.  I stopped playing on my laptop, and have been playing with a controller while it's connected to my TV.  It's a lot better with a controller, I have to admit. I'm kind of shocked about it.  I guess that's the way it was designed, for console play.

Over the weekend I watched my little brother play the 2nd Season of Walking Dead.  It's REALLY good, and really draws you into the story and characters.  I really enjoyed it, it was a harrowing experience.  Before Xmas, I knew me and my brother would enjoy it this year, and it lived up to its reputation.  It was a lot of fun seeing Clementine do her thing.  She's a great character.  I can't wait for the next one.

Now we'll probably play the new Game of Thrones game and check that out.

Haven't been very productive.  I guess it's the holidays.  I have been thinking about music though, just contemplating shit.  There's a lot of remixes I want to do, and of course my own compositions that I'm thinking about.

Well, Christmas is almost upon us and I'm quite excited.  It will be nice to wake up xmas morning to xmas music and nice coffee and unwrap presents with the family.  I'm excited for my family to open up their gifts.

Anyway, I hope all of you are well!  What are you up to these past few days??

I was enjoying The Walking Dead tv show until I started reading the comics.  The comics ruined the show for me.  They're so much better.  It didn't make the show bad, but reading the comics did completely take away my desire to watch the show.

yeah my brother reads the comics too and hates the show.  The game is pretty good though!

One of these days I'll get the game.  I hadn't read anything bad about it.

it's kind of like an interactive movie, with some like point and click parts and some action parts.  Not everybody likes that, but we think it's awesome.

3 I still need to play season 2 of the walking dead. I played the first season and while I loved it, I hated it. Not because it's bad or anything, it's a very good game just the story made me hate myself. It kind of makes u wonder, would I really make that choice in that situation. Some choices I felt justified in, some I wondered if maybe I'm just that evil on the inside. I can only wonder what season 2 will do to me.

season 2 is pretty harrowing, like I said.  there's some tough decisions and sad moments.  but, I think you'll love it if you loved the first season.

I need to buy gifts today. Luckily, all my brother wants is Rise Against CDs, so that's easy.

Do you have the NES Ninja Gaiden games?  What about the arcade one? :)  Those are the ones I'm familiar with.

I'm glad TellTale is successful with their Walking Dead titles, but I miss the days of their more whimiscal fare like Sam & Max, Wallace & Gromit, and Tales of Monkey Island.  Their new stuff just isn't my cup of tea.

I had the original Ninja Gaiden when I was a kid.  Got far, but never quite beat it.  And I used to play the arcade one at the mall near my house.  Never owned it.  Tongue Out

Yeah I like telltale games.  I guess they have gotten more dark and adult.  but who knows, maybe they'll swing back around eventually.

Gamed it up the last few days. Tomorrow I go Xmas shopping. I'm going to Barnes and Noble and try and keep that place affloat by buying all my gifts there. I can get them wrapped there too, which is a bonus.

I love Barnes and Noble.  I can spend like a million dollars there without breaking a sweat.

I know they've been declining a little bit. It's going to be interesting to hear how they do after this Xmas. I'll hear about it probably on the New York Times Book Review podcast I listen to.

yeah it's sad they haven't been doing well.  I really like those places.

They've been smart to expand the things they sell. They have toys, a cafe, board games and puzzles, and other neat gift items now, not to mention their own e-reader; although, I've heard they've cut back in that business a little bit. I'd hate to see them go, because they're the last big chain book seller out there. I still hurt from the disappearance of record stores. Tower Records is now a distant memory. It sucks! Damn you Amazon! Wait, I love Amazon. Damn this love/hate relationship!

On a happy note. B&N gave me some good Mii's for my 3DS in street pass and even a Spot Pass special Mii for the holidays. I WIN!!!

I only own Sigma on PS3. Great game!  I hope you have a nice Christmas, and good luck on your projects!

thanks!  You too!

I love Game of Thrones but I'm on the fence about the new game. I might give it a try on the iPad because it's the least expensive.

I heard there was a new version of Gaiden on the Vita. I wasn't a fan of the first one on the Vita, but that probably could change if I gave it another try.

we played through the first chapter of Game of Thrones and it wasn't bad.  Better than we thought, but not as good as Walking Dead yet.

I've been meaning to get those three ninja Gaiden titles again. I don't know why I gave up the two Xbox versions back in the day. They had unlocks of the NES and arcade Ninja Gaiden!

I'm still holding back on Sigma given how Online Pass is still associated with the third game in the series.

Third game sucks.
