Hi there folks. I know its been awhile but before I say hello, I though I would alert you all about some few unfortunate digital game delistings happening soon. The first is Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins, the digital combo pack of Capcom's Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Vs. Capcom. Yes, regretablity MVCO is following Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and is being pulled from both Xbox 360 and PS3. You have until tomarrow to get the game on PS3 and till the 31st on 360. Origins is a really great game, not the best work done by Iron Galaxy and their Capcom fighter ports, but still really awesome, and with stellar netcode to boot. No clearence sales for the games though but if you have any feint hunger for old Capcom fighters, I'd suggest you pick it up now. Its $15.

Switching gears and companies, up next on the delisting block is Afterburner Climax. Sega's sole sucessor to AM2's fancy jet fighter is frantic as it is beautiful. Its much cheaper than Origins too, at $10. However, you only have until Christmas (December 25) on both consoles to buy the game. Its really good! I bought it on whim and never reget the purchase. Shame this is being delisted though because of all of the games that could use 3D/Occulus Rift/Project Morpheus support....

So there you go. If you want to try either of these games...now is the time to buy them. I'll be back later with a real update. Later.

And so the exodus of non-Disney Marvel games continue. Kinda sad it's coming to this and I was hoping for maybe Steam ports of the Marvel vs Capcom and similar games, since I loved to play them by emulator years ago. Maybe I should try MAME....

Ironically, MAME is the reason why its not on the PC. Capcom knows MAME exist and really isn't too push about it (although I think they have asked to take some of the games down nicely that they have used in these HD-not-really re-releases). There's only one game that's the exception to the rule and that's the Capcom D&D games which are on Steam for some reason. Maybe to test the waters, but I doubt they turned enough of a profit to mean anything.

I haven't played Afterburner Climax, but I did review Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, so I still have it.  Thanks for the heads up, though, and I hope we can hear from you soon.  I always enjoy reading your stuff.  Hope you get a chance to check out my blogs, too.

I didn't either until I got my PS3. There are so many games that I have that delisted thanks to goofy copyright thingys.

FOUND YOU!!!!

I lost you when 1up.com's community features were locked down. Glad to find you on here!

Already got both of those games awhiel back but I didn't know MvC: origins was getting the ax. heard about AF Climax a week ago but word is it's already been delisted on the US XBLA though still accessible on PSN, overseas networks and iOS. Rumor is Sega isn't reupping their lisense with Northerp Grummen on the use of the F-14D in the game.

So does this mean my hopes and dreams of a digital release of X-Men vs Street Fighter/Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter/ X-Men: COTA in one complete package DOA? I mourn....

Nice to hear from you, Nsonic and it sucks about 1UP being froozen. Lost a lot of blogs and I think my back up I made is gone. : (

I hope that licencing bit with Sega doesn't affect Transformed because I know for both the Afterburner stage and for the character AGES use a licenced jet. Forget which one though...

And a package featuring the rest of the Marvel Vs. series probably not going to happen anytime soon either I'm afriad. Less due to the fact Capcom and more to due to how screwy Disney is with their video games in general and just the general licencing problems with the X-men/Marvel rights. On top of that, the company that does most of these games for Capcom, Iron Galaxy, is now the new developers for the new Killer Instinct. So I doubt they have the time now.

Hey, how are you? Don't play fighting games much anymore because I'm just bad at them. Nevertheless it's good to hear from you. Happy holidays!

Hi mothman. I'm still playing fighting games and writing too! Just on my tumblr more so than anywhere else. Things, truth be told, haven't been very good. But I'm trying to be here more often. Hope your holidays are going well.

As well as can be expected. Just remember, it can't rain all the time. :) Keep posting when you can.

Damn, wish I knew about this sooner. I have Origins which I won at 1up a long time ago. I always wanted to try Afterburner, I could get a 10 dollar PSN card via Amazon, but I need to verify my points for giftcards on a service I use and that would be long after the game gets taken down. If someone could spot me a points card or let me download it from their account, I'd let them download anything from mine in return obvious. Wish it ended by the end of the year instead :(

Phew!  Good thing I got the Marvel vs. Capcom Origins and MvC 2 earlier this year.
