BaD #01: More Proof FFXIV is the Final Fantasy We All Want!

Okay. I ranted about how the Final Fantasy MMO (XIV) looks and feels like older FF games, and now the latest update will add The Gold Saucer, Triple Triad Card Game and Chocobo Racing! Umm...Square Enix, tell us again how you can't remake Final Fantasy 7 because you can't fit all that extra gaming content from PSOne on current systems? I'm pretty sure Eorzea might be bigger than the world in FF7, and it is running on PS3, PC and PS4. I'm not a developer so I can't really say, but yeah, A Realm Reborn is looking so hot right now!

They've said they couldn't fit all the content from FFVII into a new remake? I'm no developer either, but they seriously said that?

I'm sure there is some truth to it. It took FF13 a very long time to develop because Square was developing their HD game engine on PS3 and it fucked them up. They make a lot of excuses, but honestly A Realm Reborn is running on all platforms except XBOX and it is sort of HD, very large and now has all that extra stuff that FF7 had.

I find it ridiclous that they can't either or wont. They have shown with a realm reborn they can bring back the old final fantasy everyone loves and misses. Hopefully with time things will change on their end.

They are still milking the hell out of it too. They are releasing Triple Triad and a Motorcycle game with Cloud for mobile.

You can play a flash version online for free...somewhere. I know I've played it online before.

My brother Jeff loved the card game from FF9. After I was done playing the main game for the day, I'd hand the controller to him and he'd just play the card game. He got me all the best cards. :)

The game was also available with FF11 Online. Although it was seperate to the MMO.

Ok, you almost made me think about buying the game but then I remembered the monthly subscription so that ain't gonna happen. I'm not going to spend a couple of hundred bucks a year to play a game.

I could save that and use it towards a Wii U, PS4, new 3DS or a Vita.

The main game is pretty cheap right now. Plus you get a free month I think, so if you sub for a couple months after, like 3 or the amount of a collector edition and DLC of any other AAA game, you can beat the main quest and experience a lot of the game in a few months the way I did. I haven't subbed in a while. I j ust played the main quest and leveled classes. I was waiting for more content. As MMOs go, it is worth the sub.
