Death Is Fun - Livin' It Up In Lordran

i know what you mean - when I initially bought Dark Souls, I let it sit on top of my other games...it'd glare at me balefully each night as I walked into the apartment from work, snarling at my toddler for watching Bob The Builder, too.

Once you get into it though, Jesse - it's addicting. I'm actually reading forums right now, looking to better my sorcerer. Let me know when you get into Demon's Souls - I've been meaning to pick up a copy, as they're down to 13 bucks used right now at Gamestop. It'd be cool to help each other out via summoning!

the games also seem to drop in price much faster than they did a couple years ago. I'm no longer daunted by the prospect of waiting a couple months to obtain whatever title it is in question...matter of fact, more often than not Gamefly hits me with one of my top 5 consistantly. Plus there's excellent chances of getting AAA new releases via Redbox...hell, I sampled 6 of this year's AAA offerings via RedBox, which ended up saving me quite a bit of money. After all...if I can blast through Uncharted 3 on normal in a couple days for under 5 bucks, why not?

More and more, it seems like the games I actually purchase are either heavily, heavily discounted (thank you Gamefly!) or upwards of 50 hours of gameplay. Everything else usually ends up getting traded in, if I buy it.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Was Canceled Before Platinum Games Took Over Development

they're in the middle of a teeter-totter with this title. It's looking like the game's got VERY LITTLE to do with anything Metal Gear. It's too early to know how this title's gonna pan out.....but I'm not really looking forward to it.

If Metal Gear Rising isn't a part of the Metal Gear series, they should drop Metal Gear from the title. Platinum might be shooting themselves in the foot here...MGS fans expect excellence.

O Snaking, How I Mourn the Loss

Oooooh, I'd be PISSED to lose to someone due to an exploit...snaking certainly sounds like an exploit to me. Still though, I'm sure it's fun to be on the giving end of it!!!

Dead Rising 3 Getting a New Protagonist?

Chuck was indeed lame....they should've nixed the entire "find zombrex for your kid" plot point and started with something else. Little kids and zombie transformation isn't exactly good fodder for games anymore, as zombies have largely overcrowded the market. They're slowly going the way of Nazis in video games...they're fun to kill, but overused and tired.

It's all good. Gonna miss the people there, though. It's really 1Up's loss, not mine.

For the record, she's right - there's probably an insanely small statistical chance that I'd be able to pull off these kills. But the same goes for her, as well as the person actually making the kill. We all know this. It just burns me up BAD when an editor thinks they're badass because they play games all day. If this broad had any interest in games besides shooters, she probably wouldn't have drawn my ire. I also, like many other gamers, strongly dislike being relegated to the "general unskilled" that so many editors direct their snarky commentary toward. To date, I've not seen a single line written @ PixlBit that could be contstued as demoralizing toward the readership. That makes me happy.
