Thank you for powering through! It took me until late Sunday to finish the show since I was off for 4.5 days. I know it was a super long show, but if it makes you feel better, it was 4 hours and 15 minutes before I started editing.

Thankfully, most of our listeners seem to like our long shows. I definitely like long podcasts, and can't wait for the Giant Bombcast GOTY Deliberations in December, which usually gives me about 20 hours of podcasty goodness at the end of the year.

The reason I hate hearing myself is because of my lisp. And also a general hatred of the way I talk. Especially the stuttering, which I cut out as much as I can.

I do love how a lot of things boil down to "throw the kids in a murder scenario and see who lives."

So, this is curious to me. You say you're a coward, but you've watched all of the Silent Hill games in Let's Play form? Does the scary come from not watching it passively, but controlling the character? I mean, that's why I prefer horror games to horror movies, but I can still find the occasional horror flick that scares me. 

It was that last scene with the mom in the attic that did me in on Hereditary. It was just so creepy and off-putting, and it stayed with me for weeks.

Sadly, it's harder and harder to lock down video game sales, especially since NPD stopped publishing numbers at all. You can probably track down some arcade data, but of course it would vary wildly from arcade to arcade. I just looked up Street Fighter 2 and it seems like most machines could take in about $1000 a week, which definitely adds up, especially in 1993 money.

Wait...when did you actively avoid Konami games? Because up until the tail end of last gen they were still one of the best studios in the biz. If we're talking historically, it's Capcom>Konami>Square>Nintendo for me. Nintendo is only that low because I don't revisit their games as much.
