@darth You know, I was wondering about the Ico/Shadow HD sales. I mean, this is what gamers said they wanted, right? Gamers "love" these games, don't they? Even though Ico sold terribly, and Shadow sold okayish (it hit Greatest Hits status, but the bar had been lowered to qualify by that point).

Hardcore gamers say that these are the things they want, but when the time comes to put their money where their mouths are (quite literally, in fact), nothing changes. Games like this still fall by the wayside and do poor sales compared to other titles. If Last Guardian passes a million sales in its first month I'll be shocked.

We all know that there's another 3DS on the way. I bet by this time next year it's in our hot little hands, sporting 2 circle pads and better battery life. And we'll all complain about it and all the hardcore Nintendo fans will buy it and Iwata and Reggie will have a treasure bath.

This has all happened before, and it will all happen again.

The designers have been calling this Oblivion with God of War combat from the get-go, which is why it went on my radar. Many RPGs have awesome worlds to explore and interesting leveling mechanics, but suffer in the combat department. I'm hoping that the combat can capture that level of precision and impact.

Not as bad as Ridge Racer Unbounded. Silly Japanese. But getting Platinum involved is great news. They actually know how to ship games, which the first team didn't seem to be able to do.

This game looks incredible. And I read somewhere that one of the leads on this game worked on Enslaved, which was one of my favorite games of last year.

I was hoping for a new BioWare IP. This makes me sad, as I don't play RTS.

I was surprised to see Jaffe so reigned in. It makes me wonder if there was a Sony PR rep right next to him as he was answering questions.

Now that would be something! The Samaritan demo looks like a new approach for Epic, as well. It says noir-style character action game to me. I'm really curious to see what it is.

Yeah, I think this would totally work as a PC game. I agree that horror isn't the best genre for portables. Maybe Corpse Party would still creep me out on the go as long as I'm using headphones, but the audio is so key that you really wouldn't want any distractions. I tend to play my handhelds in bed before I go to sleep, but I know that's not the norm. And I'll probably pass on 3DS and Vita because of the way I play portables.

Totally. I think all the Fable games fall way short of what they set out to accomplish, but still end up being great games. If Amalur delivers on even a fraction more of the Fable promise, we're in for a treat.
