I really need a controller or mouse and key for shooters honestly. Card games are the only games Im willing to spend time on with tablet.
Welcome back!
I must have fallen into the same worm hole as you the last few months. I haven't been keeping up with new games at all, aside from whats free on PS+ or indie games on PC, so there's not much to blog about. Also, I was playing Zelda most of the time since Christmas and that blocked out a bunch of games.
Curious if you've ever tried the Atelier series? The PS3 ones are my favorite and should be pretty cheap by now. Particularly the last ones to release.
I've caught your live streams here and there. You are very knowledgable about your games and informative with chat, my favorite kind of streamers. Its an interesting way to get through a backlog. You got any tips for streaming?
the remake was free on PS plus last month. It is a very pretty game. Its more like old school hard that Im not used to seeing nowadays. Had to change my mindset to stupid 90s kid to get into it.
demon souls came out in 2009, so the community has had almost 10 years of playing these games that have built up on top of each other and then BB came out to challenge us. It's one of those games that rewards struggle, although sometimes it feels unfair and cheap, but you can also cheat the game too so its fair, I guess?
What was so bad about Witcher 3? Did you try Witcher 2? I can understand dislike of combat, but the world is sprawling and characters and story is great. BB and Witcher 3 are two of my favorite games of all time.
this should be a new approach to New Game+. Dark Souls 2 moved enemies around for Scholars of the First Sin remake and it was pretty challenging.
so did you play all the Yakuza games or can you start witht he latest one and work you way back? I played the Yakuza6 demo and it was super great! I loved all the wrestling moves and running around Tokyo shops. So expensive though!
The thing with bloodborne is that it's a JRPG, so you can level grind your stats and weapons if you hit a wall. Its a very obtuse game that doesnt explain its systems very well, especially to new players, and coming from previous souls games, it was made to challenge veteran players of those by taking away magic and defense, so I don't blame anyone for having a hard time with the game at all. You can also summon NPC help or co op with friends to help you out. The first two bosses are a nightmare to be honest, but if you get past those, it prepares you for the rest of the game really, so its kind of a tutorial.
With ratchet, its more that my weapons are very weak or that I run out of ammo in tough spots, especially during boss fights which is annoying. I cant imagine playing ratchet on hard. OMG!
I hover board races are pretty tough. I only managed a silver, but that was enough for me.
Ratchet is basically Mega Man in 3D. The world and guns and boss fights feels like a better realized MM Legends. At least the checkpoints are forgiving.
