Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Gets a New Release Date

It's a shift in a very positive direction.

The 3DS version of Snake Eater has been moved around quite a bit since its announcement at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show.  Originally scheduled for a December 2011 release, the game was pushed back to March 8, 2011 in November to iron out some bugs and prep the game to be compatible with Nintendo’s Circle Pad Pro.  Now the date is shifting again, but this time it’s going in a much more favorable direction.

Is Kojima working on a new IP, or is this MGS 5? Place your bets now!

As Hideo Kojima continues his press tour to talk about the new Platinum Games rework of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, he took a little time to tease something new. Kojima: "There's Still Life in the Japanese Game Industry"

The man behind Metal Gear spills the beans on Rising, Platinum Games, and even MGS5.

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the newly-renamed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Hideo Kojima. Since showing off the new game concept at the Spike TV VGAs, Kojima has been all over talking about the reason for the changes, and why he went with Platinum Games for the game design. He’s been pleased with the reactions on Twitter, and has said that he feels that the VGAs will be the place to announce games in the future, as opposed to E3. Kojima Would Like to Make Zone of the Enders 3

Kojima Productions is understaffed and working on other projects right now, but it's something he has in mind.

Hideo Kojima is a legend in game design, but he’s had a hard time getting away from his most successful franchise, Metal Gear. Since 1987, Kojima has done almost exclusively games that center around the adventures of his beloved character Snake (in various incarnations) and, even though he’s tried to pass the series on to the next generation of Konami designers, he keeps getting pulled back. But that’s not to say that Kojima hasn’t been about to branch out a bit over the years. You may remember his portable game Boktai, which had a direct sequel and a DS follow-up called Lunar Knights. No? Well, you certainly remember Zone of the Enders. You know…the game that was included free with the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo? Despite having that moniker for years, ZoE has its share of dedicated fans, and they will be happy to hear that the series isn’t far from Kojima’s thoughts.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Review

This is a nearly-perfect HD collection of two of the best games in the Metal Gear series. Oh, and Peace Walker is in there, too.

With HD collections of our favorite games of the past becoming a regular occurrence, we here at PixlBit have been trying to decide how best to cover them. When reviewing an HD remake, do we do a normal critique of the original game? Do we evaluate the quality of the HD conversion and special features? Or is the answer found with a little of column “A” and a little of column “B”? Well, I’m going to try a little experiment with this review of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and hopefully you wonderful readers will let us know if this format works well for you.
