Nostalgia Review

Monotonous battling brings down this title filled with gorgeous locales and interesting characters.

During the era of 8-bit games, RPGs were a revolution, offering a unique and lengthy gameplay experience that mixed combat, exploration, and strategy. Things not offered in typical titles of the time that required no more than hand-eye coordination to achieve victory. As time has progressed, RPGs have strayed away from the simpler, classic formula, adding new elements to the gameplay and breaking the mold for the genre altogether. However the recently released title Nostalgia lives up to its name, providing an old-school play experience with a number of the amenities that come with modern games.

Undead Knights Review

Command the undead in this Pikmin-esque action title.

These days, zombie games seem to be a dime a dozen. They've been comrades and enemies, units in tower defense, and even the player's character itself. Disregarding the apparent glut of titles, Tecmo has created yet another starring the undead. Undead Knights puts players in control of the creator of the zombie horde. In order to complete the missions in each level, players must convert enemies into zombie soldiers in order to do their bidding.

NBA Unrivaled Review

Don't be fooled, this is not NBA Jam.

Growing up, basketball was easily my favorite sport. I played it recreationally with friends, in a league, and on my school's team. Hell, I loved the sport so much I even obsessively played Basketball video games. Of course, being that I couldn't really dunk the ball or do anything particularly flashy, I found myself enjoying NBA Jam far more than any other title available at the time. Crazy dunks and fast-paced gameplay defined the series.

Tecmo Announces and Releases NBA Unrivaled

The game is available on Xbox Live Arcade today with a PlayStation Network release to follow.

Tecmo announced yesterday that in a partnership with A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games, they would be publishing their arcade-style basketball game, NBA Unrivaled, for both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Tecmo Announces Both Again and Monster Rancher DS for US Release

Cing's latest will come out alongside the long-running Monster Rancher series this March.

During this year's TGS, Tecmo announced a brand new title, Again: Eye of Providence for the DS. The title was in development at Cing, a company popular for their point-and-click adventures, specifically the Another Code series and Hotel Dusk. When it was announced, Tecmo had only announced for release in Japan.

Fist of the North Star Will Release Worldwide

The official announcement of this game sent Koei's stock soaring yesterday.

Fist of the North Star is a popular Japanese manga that was written by Buronson and published in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988. The manga was eventually adapted into two animated television series, several movies, and an OVA (original video animation).
