Modern Warfare 2 the Most Pre-Ordered Game at GameStop of All Time

A recent interview with the Executive Vice President reveals that Halo 3 has been dethroned.

USA Today's Game Hunters recently had the opportunity to interview GameStop's Executive Vice President, Tony Bartel. In the interview, Bartel revealed that the upcoming title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the most pre-ordered game of all-time for the company.

According to Bartel, "as of today, the number of pre-order reservations [they]'ve taken for the game is the highest for any title [they]'ve ever sold in [their] 6,200 store network."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due for release next Tuesday with various retail outlets planning midnight launches around the title. Bartel believes that the launch of the title will "by all indicators ... be the biggest entertainment launch of all time."

PixlBit will have an official review of the title available next week.

I'm seriously not a fan of preordering when there's no bonus. I don't know. I really just wish GameStop would order enough stock on their own, because the games that get preordered are the popular games everyone wants, anyways. How silly is it for them to run out of stock on day one when a place like Best Buy has tens or even about a hundred copies left!
