Analysts Predict That Beatles: Rock Band Outsold Guitar Hero 5

Both games have met sales expectations in their first month.

The Beatles: Rock Band reportedly sold between 1 million and 1.3 million copies compared to Guitar Hero 5's 700,000 to 800,000 copies according to Wedbush Morgan Securities' Michael Pachter and Electronic Entertainment Design and Research's Jesse Divnich.

A retailer conference reveals the date and price of the upcoming platformer.

Kotaku reports on a supposed news leak from a Nintendo retailer conference in Japan. According to Kotaku, the price point and release date for New Super Mario Bros. Wii are now set. The game will be priced at ¥5,800 (US$66) and will hit stores on December 3.

Gamestop Promises Complete Games Purchased Online

Consumers who buy their titles from Gamestop online will no longer receive empty black boxes only containing the game itself.

It’s no secret that many of the pre-owned games sold at Gamestop are lacking things like the official box art and any packaged inserts. However, according to Gamestop’s website, they will now guarantee that all games purchased online will arrive to their owners in working condition and include cover art along with a manual.

Namco Bandai Owns Loading Screen Mini-Game Copyright

Notice an abundance of loading screen mini-games in Namco Bandai games? It's because they own the copyright for them.

At a recent event, PixlBit saw the latest Namco Bandai-published Dragon Ball: Raging Blast for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This game has a short mini-game that you can play during the loading screen where you drag a cursor around and collect money. Apparently Namco Bandai owns the copyright for the concept according to Timothy Ng, associate public relations manager.
