Hackers Attack Back - System Update 4.2

Nintendo's update may have caused a slight bump in the road, but the homebrew community is already answering back after just one short day.

Yesterday, Nintendo made a full-out assault against the Wii homebrew community by releasing a veiled update. The update did its best to wipe all hacks from the system, a task which it nearly completed successfully.

In an effort to stimulate the country's economy, Ireland may be luring Scottish developers.

According to the Herald Scotland, Ireland may be planning five-year tax holidays for game developers in an effort to boost the local economy. This incentive is proving to be attractive to developers based in Scotland, who find the UK's restrictions on their industry frustrating.

Mini Ninjas Signs on with 4Kids

The North American license owner of Kirby and Yu-Gi-Oh nabs Mini Ninjas but makes no promise of a TV show or film.

Mini Ninjas has joined with the likes of Kirby and Yu-Gi-Oh at 4Kids Entertainment as the company is now the global licensing agent for the property in all regions except Japan and Korea.

Wii Sports Resort Sells More Than 1.25 Million in U.S.

Nintendo's summer hit has blown past a million units with it's bundled peripheral, Wii MotionPlus selling close to 3 million units.

Wii Sports Resort has posted sales of 1.25 million copies and the MotionPlus has sold over 2.9 million units in the United States alone, according to statistics from Nintendo.

Koei confirms the North American release of the Classic Controller Pro in a Samurai Warriors 3 fact sheet.

In a Tokyo Game Show fact sheet about Koei's Samurai Warriors 3, it mentions playing the game with the Classic Controller Pro, which is currently only available in Japan.
