MotorStorm RC Free for a Limited Time on Vita

The title is launching tomorrow on both the Vita and PlayStation 3, but thanks to Toyota owners of the new handheld will be getting it for free.

Current owners of a shiny new PlayStation Vita will be excited to learn that they'll be able to augment their game library tomorrow without the need to drop any cash. Thanks to Toyota, MotorStorm RC will be totally free in the US starting tomorrow exclusively on the PlayStation Vita. This limited time promotion will also include a Vita exclusive RC version of the Scion iQ - this comes alongside a wide assortment of other downloadable content for the miniaturized racer.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Being Ported to XBLA and PSN

16:9 and online play will be added to the last generation fighter.

On their website, Arc System Works announced their plans to port their fan favorite fighter, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, to both PSN and XBLA. Originally released on PS2, PSP, and Wii, the fighter is getting a visual upgrade by moving to a 16:9 aspect ratio, while adding online play. Currently there's no known time frame for the release, but it was recently revealed that the game will be receiving an arcade port as well. As such, it's likely that Arc System Works is putting a large scale effort into the port and rerelease of the title.

PSN Accounts to Become Sony Entertainment Network Accounts

Despite the change in account branding, the PlayStation Network brand will remain intact.

Yesterday, Sony began distributing emails to PSN users to alert them of a slight scheduled change to their accounts. In an effort to unify their various digital brands, Sony is establishing the Sony Entertainment Network and subsequently converting all PSN accounts to be more universal SEN accounts. While the overall digital service Sony is providing will carry the SEN branding, the PlayStation Network brand will remain to accommodate all of Sony's gaming consoles.

Sony's "12 for '12" Promotion is Live

A solid mix of indie and major releases are up for grabs on the PSN to celebrate the New Year.

Oddworld's Munch Hopping onto PSN/Vita Quarter Two 2012.

No word on whether an Xbox 360 edition is planned.

Just a few weeks ago developer Just Add Water delivered on their promise to rerelease Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath in glorious HD.  Many gamers would have been content with seeing this underappreciated gem get a second chance on a new platform, but according to a tweet from their official Twitter account, the folks running Oddworld these days have further plans to spread the HD love by announcing Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee for an end of quarter two release.

Scarygirl Coming to XBLA, PSN, and PC

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, players can dive into the game in just 2 weeks.

Square Enix announced today that they plan to publish Scarygirl on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC. Appearing as soon as January 18 on XBLA, with a January 24 PSN release to follow, players will be able to action-platform with the titular, tentacle-armed protagonist. Scarygirl is haunted by bad dreams and sets out on a quest to determine their meaning.

Move-Enabled House of the Dead 3 & 4 Coming to PSN

Blast more zombies with these two light gun shooters.

The House of the Dead series is one of the most iconic light gun series in gaming. Given the numerous pointing peripherals on the market right now, it's no surprise that Sega is breathing new life into the series with a variety of releases, the latest of which are ports to the PlayStation Network of House of the Dead 3 and 4. Amy Receives a Release Date

The downloadable survival horror game is due for release in just one week.

Today, Lexis Numérique announced the release date for Amy, their upcoming survival horror game for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. After being delayed and missing its initially scheduled fall 2011 release date, players will be able to take on the unique quest starting January 10 on PSN and January 11 on XBLA.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Coming Summer 2012

New pro skaters will be included in the game.

Now that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD has been revealed by the man himself, details about the remake are being released. Tony Hawk Ride developer Robomodo is handling the remake, but unlike their work on Ride and Shred, this game will feature standard controls. It's currently scheduled for release summer 2012 with a tentative price of $15 "only on leading consoles."

Stranger's Wrath Wrangles PSN on December 27

The HD remake is done and ready to catch some outlaws.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD was originally supposed to be released this past Easter. After horribly missing that day, Gamespot has confirmed that the HD remake will be released on December 27, 2011 for the PlayStation Network for $15.
