Nintendo outlines their 2012 Q1 release schedule.
Nintendo didn’t have the most even release schedule in 2011. A year that could be characterized as lacking in terms of software releases was capped off by a small barrage of marquee releases in the form of Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Light and Dark battle it out in Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kid Icarus: Uprising has been one of my most anticipated titles for the Nintendo 3DS since its initial announcement last year. While the 3DS has come out and Kid Icarus still hasn't, fans wondered what was in store for them once they finally get their hands on it. One thing I can say, is that the game is very fun and there's a lot more to it than expected.

Last night, during a segment of the Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon, Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, demoed Donkey Kong Country Returns. As a bonus, Reggie also showed Fallon the Nintendo 3DS along with the upcoming title, Kid Icarus: Uprising. Shortly after, he confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS is coming out next year.

Like Nintendo said, for those of you at home, you'll honestly have to take our words for it. 3D is better. I saw trailers for a few titles, including Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Kid Icarus, and found myself Thoroughly impressed.
