Tekken 6 Review

Surprisingly the portable version of the title is a more impressive outing than the home console edition.

As I've made clear in the past, I am by no means the world's biggest Tekken fan. Tekken 6 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was a solid entry that fans of the series no doubt enjoyed. Thankfully for those same fans, Namco has created a portable version of the fighter in order to play and practice on-the-go.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans Review

One of the better Dragon Ball Z games in recent memory.

The Dragon Ball series seems like it never wants to die. Since its debut in 1985, the series has remained popular and with its popularity has come an endless stream of Dragon Ball merchandise and games. In 2009, a total of four unique Dragon Ball games were released; Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans is the latest title, and surprisingly, it's one of the better games in the series to be released.

Dr. Mario Express Review

A bite-sized Dr. Mario for your DSi is what the doctor ordered.

Dr. Mario is one of the most classic puzzle titles ever released. Originally debuting on the NES, Dr. Mario was one of the titles that pioneered the match the same color style of gameplay that is prevalent in puzzle games today. The DSiWare release of Dr. Mario is actually a bite-sized version of Dr. Mario Online Rx, which was released on WiiWare in 2008.

Squeeballs Party Review

Party games should stick to a console that's fitting for a party.

While the DS has allowed for countless genres to appear in handheld form, there's still one genre of games that doesn't really fit the overarching style of portable games: party games. These types of titles are meant to be enjoyed with many people in a casual environment, and with the exception of long road trips, it’s not often that a grouping of players have no better option than a DS to play such a game. As you might imagine, with Squeeballs Party for the DS, the one element that saved its Wii brother is basically pointless in a portable environment. Outside of its party elements, the game is incredibly dull providing for a subpar experience.

Squeeballs Party Review

Yet another mini-game collection for Wii.

When I started playing through Squeeballs Party, it reminded me over and over again of Itchy and Scratchy; the cartoon cat and mouse on the Simpsons who loved to try and rip one another to shreds. Within this game, all of the squeeballs are constantly either trying to do harm to one another, or falling into hysterics at another's misfortune. The characters themselves are incredibly full of personality, and most certainly add something unique to this game. Unfortunately the gameplay itself is full of rehashes of familiar party games which only remain fun for so long.

Vegas Party Review

How someone managed to butcher casino games so badly is beyond me.

Casino games have been around since the inception of the home video game console. I remember countless hours spent in front of the Colecovision with my parents playing a game that only featured Black Jack and Poker. The game was so simple and to the point though, that it's still playable today. As someone who enjoys some gambling with family or friends every once in a while, I was interested to see what Vegas Party had to offer.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Review

While better than Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks still feels lacking.

Since the moment I switched on my very first Zelda game, it has been my favorite series – one that I doubt could ever be dethroned. I have watched the series grow and progress since I was a child, and have been proud to see what has become of my beloved series. That was, however, until I got a hold of Phantom Hourglass. Honestly, I despised every aspect of it; it felt like a watered-down excuse for a Zelda title.

Xbox 360 Energizer Power & Play Charging System Review

For convenience, this peripheral is great, however, its value is questionable.

Owners of the Play & Charge Kit have undoubtedly been annoyed at some point since they must charge their Xbox 360 controllers while the systemis turned on. I myself have dealt with the frustration, and as a result wound up purchasing a USB extender in order to comfortably charge the controller while playing the system. However, this method is far from being the optimal solution, as it tethers players to the system and leaves an unappealing cord draped across the room.

PlayStation 3 owners have undoubtedly been annoyed at some point that they are unable to charge their controllers while not playing the system. Energizer Flat Panel 4x Induction Charging System Review

A solid peripheral that offers great form, function, and value.

The Energizer Flat Panel 4x Induction Charging System is an interesting little device that gives players the ability to charge up their Wii Remotes without even plugging in a wire, or switching out batteries. Induction charging, for those unfamiliar, is a form of wireless energy transfer that works with electromagnets.
