Capcom Offers Explanation Over Xbox 360 Street Fighter X Tekken's Missing Co-Op

The Xbox 360's "architecture" is said to be the cause for the missing feature.

When Street Fighter X Tekken was released last Tuesday, many players found out that the Xbox 360 version didn't include four player co-op mode - which allows you and a friend to team up locally and take on another team online - despite it being mentioned as a feature in the instructional manual and being available on the PlayStation 3 version.

Syndicate Review

Fantastic co-op saves what is otherwise a forgettable journey to the near future.

In a world without Deus Ex: Human Revolution I might be more kind to Syndicate.  In that world Syndicate’s central concepts and general aesthetic presentation may appear more original - less derivative of a previously released game that did a far better job of creating a plausible, near future setting where the lines separating humanity and artificiality aren’t quite as clear as they are today.  In that world Syndicate would be far more enjoyable, if only due to the lack of any real competition.  It is good that we do not live in that world; it is not so good for Syndicate.

Dungeon Siege III Review

It's all about the co-op, baby!

Remember couch co-op? There was something special about having a buddy over, ordering a pizza, and flopping on the couch to marathon through a great game. That intimate kind of cooperative game play has kind of fallen by the wayside in recent years, thanks to the proliferation of stable online matchmaking. As remarkable an achievement as that is, nothing will replace the fun and energy of having a partner sitting right next to you as you triumph over a challenging game. The folks over at Obsidian haven’t forgotten about couch co-op; it’s the focal point for Dungeon Siege III, a game that is at its best when shared.

Syndicate Preview

Syndicate stays true to its roots while adapting to the future.

When EA outed Syndicate early this year it was met with a fair amount of criticism.  Critics specifically belabored the fact that the reboot was taking the beloved isometric action-adventure-strategy game and molding it into a “visceral first person shooter.” In a video game landscape where the FPS is king the move makes sense, but that doesn’t mean that longstanding fans are going to be understanding of the change.  So it is perhaps with an olive branch extended that publisher EA has revealed that the new Syndicate will contain a robust four-player cooperative campaign to go along with the single-player experience.
