I really wish I understood this Skylanders craze. Don’t get me wrong; I totally understand the obsession over the toys themselves, they’re pretty neat on their own right. Plus, bringing them into the game via the Portal of Power truly excites both my inner-nerd and inner-child. However, the game these plucky creatures get dropped into is so basic and mundane, it’s puzzling to me that there’s still a market for it all.
Youtube user abexomotron1 uploaded a video with a pair of guards in Skyrim showing that they are keeping up with the latest trends. No real explanation of how this mod came together is provided, but the cryptic text accompanying the video indicates that motion capture was used.
Kids are, in fact, able to discern a quality title from a middling one.
A while ago, I made the decision, as most parents do, to involve my children in my hobbies. I did this by playing catch with them in the backyard, going to baseball games, playing video games, and most recently, writing a co-op review for PixlBit. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from the experience, it’s that kids will surprise you with just how mature their perspective can be, even if they aren’t able to properly articulate it yet.

The Elders Scrolls series has always been known for their lively modding community, and Skyrim is no different. Now a few weeks after the release of the creation kit we’re starting to see some amazing mods that add new challenges, content, and a few laughs.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim patch that PC players got last week is now available to Xbox 360 players. Update 1.4 has the following fixes and changes:
