Ni no Kuni Delayed to 2013

The title once slated to release later this year has slipped.

Recently at Global Gamer's Day, Namco Bandai revealed that Studio Ghibli and Level-5's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has been delayed. The title was originally scheduled to release this winter, but will now not reach American shores until early 2013.

Shift Leaps From Browsers to the 3DS

The mind-bending browser game Shift is making the leap to another platform.  Publisher Aksys Games has announced that they have teamed with developer Fishing Cactus to bring the monochrome puzzle-platformer to Nintendo’s 3DS in the form of a new title called Shifting World.

Different things usually happened with Nintendo in two completely different continents. While the NES arrived in 1986 in North America, Japan was already in its third year of Famicom glory. Nintendo’s then-released Famicom Disk System introduced the battery back-up save feature, eliminating the need for long over-drawn password saves. Games like Metroid and The Legend of Zelda greatly benefited from this innovation. It was also this year that Nintendo saw fit to release a sequel to Super Mario Bros, appropriately titled Super Mario Bros. 2. This was a completely different Super Mario Bros. 2 than the one North Americans got in 1988. So what in the world happened?

Ni No Kuni Officially Announced for North America

Namco Bandai will be publishing the game in 2012.

Today, Namco Bandai officially announced their plans to publish Ni No Kuni in North America. The Level-5 developed RPG has already seen release in Japan on the DS and will be available soon on the PlayStation 3. At this time, Namco Bandai has only announced support for the PlayStation 3 release of the game, which has been retitled Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

Captain America: Super Soldier Review

Even Next Level Games can't keep Captain America from being lame.

I hate to say it, but I've always disliked Captain America. He's a lame superhero who's in possession of no super powers whatsoever. Sure, he's a peak human specimen thanks to the Super-Soldier serum, but that still makes him pretty dull in comparison to most other superheroes. It also makes him pretty on par with most video game characters that share many of the same abilities. The Prince from Prince of Persia comes to mind – both are acrobatic, strong, and can defeat hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat. The difference between the two? The Prince starred in a great game – Captain America, a mediocre one.
