Oops, we did it again...
Welcome to a special edition of Nerds Without Pants! The guys are having to take a break from regular recordings, so we got together a few months ago to do another of these silly list things, because you all seemed to like it the first time around. This time, it's the PlayStation 2! Join us for a walk down memory lane.
Motorcycles and space battles- together for the first time.
There are certain combo cartridges games that leave me wondering why they were ever sold as standalone releases in the first place. I found myself asking that question after playing the Hang-On/Astro Warrior cart on the Master System. I mean, don’t get me wrong- it’s nice to have both games on a cartridge. But neither one held much weight when all was said and done. Even so, I was still able to come away with some goodwill toward Hang-On. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Astro Warrior, but I’ll touch on that shortly. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.

I can't believe we're about to hit 200 episodes of this crap...
As Nerds Without Pants stands on the precipice of its 200th episode, Justin and Julian get together to rank their top five games of all time. We both branched out to play some games we probably never would have before, and we witness one of the most contentious cage matches in the history of the NWPWF!

Welcome back to Nerds Without Pants! This week, we explore our favorite "game over" screens in video games. Justin has joined the next generation, Julian loses himself inside his head because of Disco Elysium, and it's a battle of mediocre sequels in Video Game Cage Match!
Sinister Geometry
The original PlayStation console opened new doors of innovation in game development. Its hardware capabilities gave designers greater freedom to present fresh experiences from well-established genres. And in some cases, it would attract outsiders that previously had no background in game development at all. Such was the case with Masahiko Sato- known for his brilliant TV commercials produced in Japan (and a bevy of other talents). Though not a game designer by trade, he created Intelligent Qube- a new type of block puzzle game to challenge curious minds.
We made it!
Oh hey, we finally got to the end of the Nerds Without Pants reading a list of every PlayStation game. In hindsight...this was a poor decision. But you guys seem to dig it, so much so that we'll be releasing a supercut of all five parts in a single episode later on. But we should really never do this again.
Better late than never...
Nerds Without Pants is still on hiatus, but in the meantime, perhaps you would enjoy part 4 of us going through all the North American (ish) PlayStation 1 releases? Yeah, it's super late. We recorded this way back in July and I think I edited this around October, so I'm not even sure what's in this one. Executive dysfunction sucks.
Sega's Little Miracle
Let's take a minute to go back in time to 1986. Nintendo was basking in the success of their NES console with hits like Super Mario Bros., Excitebike, and The Legend of Zelda. Meanwhile, Sega wanted to prove that the Master System was the better entertainment medium of choice. Attempting to go toe to toe with Mario, they created Alex Kidd in Miracle World. For Master System fans, the release of this game was a day to remember. According to them, it was the dawn of a new era. According to some, Mario had met his match, and Nintendo would soon crumble under Sega's mighty fist. But reality had other plans.

Nerds Without Pants is back with part three of this weird PlayStation list thingy that we did. At this point it’s starting to feel like a mistake, but people seem to enjoy it, so who are we to judge? We are our harshest critics, after all. There’s still a couple more hours left of this crap, so…yay?
