A Good Ol' Sit Down About Games
This week is a little different from the rest. Seeing how it’s been awhile since the four of us have gotten together, we decided to talk about what we’ve been playing. While the discussion starts out simple enough, we manage to stumble upon some interesting topics along the way.
A look at the potential bill that could irrevocably change the internet and the video game industry.

The controller that looks like a Tablet may be one after all.
Earlier today The Daily announced via an unnamed source, that Nintendo plans to release an app store for the Wii U, which is scheduled to release sometime this year. While Nintendo has already implemented quasi-App stores through the use of their DSi Shop and Wii Store, the Wii U’s unnamed app store looks to expand far beyond this, offering a wider array of apps. Additionally it was noted that Wii U owners can expect to run apps both on the Wii U and the controller independently.
Okay, so you already know that this is going to be a great episode because the title pays homage to the strongest rapper in the game … Will Smith.
Jesse and I found ourselves alone here on PixlTalk, but that didn’t stop us from having a lively, albeit lengthy conversation. Seeing how this was our last episode of 2011 we decided to take a look back at this momentous year for gaming. Meet Cobalt, MineCraft’s crazy cousin.
Small independent Swedish game developer Oxeye released Cobalt last week, their new 2D action/shooter platformer. Currently the game is in Alpha, but Oxeye looks to mimic their partner Mojang’s (the makers of MineCraft) release method. Players who pre-order Cobalt in the alpha will be granted full access to the Beta and full version of the game as they become available.

It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but that doesn’t stop it from offering one smooth ride.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 may just be their best game yet. While this game will by no means reinvent the genre it does provide a number of noticeable tweaks that help to refine the overall experience, while continuing to remain true to past iterations in the franchise.
