Backloggers Anonymous Mirror's Edge Part 2

Shiny Shiny Spoilers!

Well, we finished Mirror's Edge, and like most titles we play on Backloggers, it has its flaws to be sure, but it's a fantastic game. Make sure to listen to this 'cast once you've finished playing through since we spoil the ending about 5 seconds into the show, and thanks again for picking this game for us to play and for the feedback if you left us comments. I hope to do another community pick again sometime soon, so be on the lookout for another Backloggers poll.

Our next selection is El Shaddai, and we've got a special guest joining us for this one: Richard Clark of Christ and Pop Culture. Aside from the obvious familiarity with the source material, he's also a huge fan of the game and has written several pieces on it (which I won't link at this time due to spoilers.) So be looking forward to that one, and maybe hunt down a copy of El Shaddai if you're interested in playing along with us (it's not that expensive!) Thanks for listening!

I hadn't played Mirror's Edge yet.  I need to get that game.

I got the digital version of El Shaddai real cheap off XBL.  It was like $3!  It looks like an interesting game.  I played the demo a while back and I didn't like it.  Thought it was kind of boring.  If the game wasn't $3, I probably wouldn't of bought it.

I'll have to find some time to listen to this since I actually played Mirror's Edge this month. And I have a copy of El Shaddai already, so I guess I'll be playing that sometime soon too Smile

I really hope you guys check out El Shaddai. We already recorded our first episode for that game it's probably the best podcast we've done so far. Richard was the perfect person to have on for that episode.

I love El Shaddai, can't wait to hear this podcast so I can better understand all the religious angles. Even if you don't have any interest in that sort of thing, the amazing varying art style of each level is something everything should experience.

Mirror's Edge was loads of fun to play.  I am so glad that you guys did this, it was the perfect push to finally sit down and play the game.  I have wanted to play this game ever since I played the demo, but never got around to it until now.

Every problem area that was mentioned I can completely agree with.  Thinking back I think that the majority of the problems were my fault because even when the blues were not chasing you, I felt the need to rush and that led to far too many deaths.
