Smart. Sega has had more success lately as a publisher than a developer. And better print runs for Atlas games makes me happy.
Sega and Atlus Enter Partnership
The new coupling has Sega acting as distributor.
Sega has found itself in bed with another company again today. The company that brought us Sonic the Hedgehog announced that they have entered into a partnership with Atlus – this April, Sega will begin its new role of Atlus brand distributor.
What does this mean? Potentially it means that we’ll see larger runs and localizations of games that fall under the Atlus brand. By utilizing the impressive distribution network that Sega has in place, there is opportunity to increase exposure for future games like Catherine or the Persona series.
Such a partnership is not new for Sega as they already serve as a means of distribution for 50 companies around the world.
