New Vita Title Soul Sacrifice Teased in Famitsu

A full reveal will be announced May 10, 2012.

This week's Famitsu contained within it an advertisement for a brand new PlayStation Vita title. The six page teaser doesn't reveal much but what is clear is the name of the title, Soul Sacrifice. A teaser website has appeared as well.

The advertisement shows a battle between four characters and a three headed beast on one page, and various illustrations of demons, monsters, and a hooded character. When translated, the text says "Are you ready?" and says that it's an action title that will shake your soul.

A proper announcement will be made on Soul Sacrifice on May 10, 2012 at an event held by Sony Computer Entertainment at the Tokyo International Forum from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the doors opening 2:00 pm. The event will be streamed on the PlayStation Network, with a possible registration process implemented.

Because the event is being held by Sony and the ad has a SCEI copyright, some speculation has arisen claiming that this might be either a new first party title or a portable sequel to Demon's Souls, the PlayStation 3 exclusive that was released back in 2009. Further details may be released later this week. Below are scans of the ad in question.

I think I know the song you're talking about. The last song on the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St. album is called Soul Survivor.
