Splatterhouse Still Alive and Kicking

Despite losing its developer, Splatterhouse for Xbox 360 and PS3 is set for a Q3 2010 release.

Since announcing that BottleRocket was no longer developing the game, Namco Bandai has kept quiet about their upcoming Splatterhouse reimagining. Recently they released some more information about the delayed game, which is now being developed in-house and is set for a Q3 2010 release.

The story remains the same as Rick comes into contact with the Terror Mask and then goes on a quest to save his girlfriend from the villainous Dr. West.

Naturally, to go with the game's history, Splatterhouse will be an ultra-violent affair with such concepts as the "Splatterkill System" in which players use the analog stick to tear apart enemies, which look like something out of an H.P. Lovecraft story. It will also feature a heavy metal soundtrack.

These graphics look kind of awful, but I guess that's why it isn't coming out until next year.
