Third-Party Memory Card Developer Not Standing for Microsoft's Decision.

Microsoft's recent announcement has inspired a company to find a way around the decision.

With the recent announcement of Microsoft's latest Dashboard Update came the news that unauthorized memory units will no longer be compatible with Xbox 360 owner's consoles.

This caused a bit of stir in the gaming community, and for third-party memory card developers as well, including one such company, Datel. In a recent public statement Datel commented that they were "disappointed" about the decision and feel that it will deter consumers from "exercising their freedom of choice."

Apparently Datel doesn't plan on taking the decision lightly, as they have issued an exclusive letter, sent only to UK retailers, discussing the situation and their upcoming plans. According to the letter, Datel acknowledges that they are "aware of the changes that are required to remedy this problem" and plan to "release a solution in readiness for this potential update."

As of yet there has been no more word detailing exactly what Datel plans to do in order to circumvent Microsoft's third-party memory card ban.
