See the Singapore Night Race recreated in game for the first time in new gameplay video.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif.  Sept. 25, 2009  Gamers will be able to experience the thrill, speed, exhilaration and excitement of the 2009 Formula 1 season in the one of a kind twilight SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX when F1 2009 is released on the Nintendo Wii and PSP (PlayStationPortable) system later this year. Codemasters has unveiled in-game footage of the Singapore Street Circuit in F1 2009 on the Wii, as well as new screenshots from the night race.

The FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX was introduced to the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" last season and achieved iconic status for being the first FORMULA ONE race to be held under lights. Approximately 1,500 lighting projectors were used at the circuit, making it four times brighter than the average sports stadium and enabling the drivers to have maximum visibility at all times. Codemasters has painstakingly recreated the race in F1 2009.

F1 2009, which will arrive this fall on the Wii, will set new standards for racing games on the Nintendo console with an absolutely authentic recreation of the 2009 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP that is accessible for the entire family and challenging for more experienced driving game enthusiasts. The PSP version, which will also be released this fall, will allow fans the opportunity to enjoy the worlds most thrilling and glamorous sport on the move and will feature ad-hoc multiplayer for up to four players.
