Liked the video and subbed to your channel. Great stuff man. Just getting back into comics after a long hiatus. Any recommendations of recent stuff I need to try?

yeah I've gotten back into comics lately too.  I grew up a Marvel guy but I've really leaned towards DC lately. Don't know why really.  But I do really like Marvel's star wars comics, real classy stuff.  

do u have a comic store near you?  I don't. wish I did.  I order them online. 

Lately for Marvel all I've been getting are the Star Wars Book. Chewbacca is getting a book soon over Han Solo-- WTF!!

I'm in the Albany NY area so I have some shops near by. EarthWorld comics is my primary shop. I buy all my floppies there to support the local business. If on a rare occasion they are out of a book I utilze Zombie Planet in Colonie , NY. I now buy all my my graphic novels online because the prices can't be beat-- you end up paying anywhere from 30 to 50% off cover price sometimes more if they are running a big deal..

I was in the same boat as you as of last year-- long, talking 20 yr long hiatus from comics, and dove back in head first. It's hard for me to answer your question because you know what your tastes and likes and dislikes are. I'm pretty fond of DC right now despite their poor decision making as of late. I like anything Green Lantern, Batman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Harly Quinn, Catwoman, the Omega Men is awesome. But I love Mignola stuff from Dark Horse like Hellboy, B.P.R.D., Baltimore, Abe Sapien is tremendous!! I like horror books as well and suggest you check out Colder the Bad Seed from Dark Horse Comics. Image comics puts out tons of great books! If you are into Sci-Fi I highly recommend Descender. Drifter by Image is also amazing it's like a sci-fi space western. If more high fantasy is your thing check out Birthright written by Joshua Williamson. The Autumn Lands Tooth and Claw also has a rich high fantasy universe complete with antropomorhic animals. 

The best advise I can give you is go with your gut. Peruse a good comic shop at your leisure and get what looks interesting to YOU. That's all that matters!!
