Hey Pixlbit. Hope you all like that little Game of Thrones pun I put in the title. Still haven't watched the show though. Anyways, I should stop looking at deals for video games. I feel like I've been posting on this blog a lot about pickups. Anyways, a few weeks ago my local Target started to get some games on clearance. Games like Remember Me, Dead Space 3 and Anarchy Reigns. I didn't get Remember Me because it was free on PS+ about a month or so ago. I passed on DS3 because I got it cheaper at ToysRUs when they were having their big clearance blowout sale.

Anarchy Reigns was the last one left. The closest store had a few so I waited to see if it would go cheaper. I realized that it went down to $6 and I figured I would wait and read/watch reviews. It didn't interest me but I figured for $6 it shouldn't be that bad. So when I decided to just give it a shot, my local store ran out. No biggie. So I went to another store and found a copy still on clearance. I thought about getting it and eventually I did. Hopefully it's worth the $6 I got it for. Some reviewers on Metacritic said it was worth the $30 it was at so hopefully its worth a cheaper price.

Next pickup is Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition on PS4. I bought a used copy of this on the Vita about a month ago and really enjoyed it but I returned it to get something else. I wanted to get it on PS4 when it was at a good price. Luckily this was one of the games that's on sale at GameStop for their 4th of July sale. So I couldn't pass up the price drop. Especially when I had a coupon for a pre owned game. 

Two reasons why I wanted to get it on console: 1) I wanted to get the full experience of the game and the graphics are a lot better on the PS4 than the Vita. But I'll admit the graphics on the Vita were pretty good. 2) I wanted to play a fighting game with my girlfriend because she kicks my butt at fighting games. 

I didn't know she was so good until we played Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. She really beat up my character with Nightwolf. Another time she also beat me at a fighting game was when we went to Boomers one night. They had an arcade Street Fighter II game. Once again, I was just doing horrible. But she was creating all the combos and actually using tactics like a pro player would do. I was just like "where is all this coming from?!" And she mentioned she used to play Dead or Alive on the DreamCast with her brother when they were younger. So now I know what kind of games to get her in the future.

Another note. When I got the PS Vita Slim I told my girlfriend I would give her my OLED Vita when she finds a game she likes. And until then I'm using it as my back up. Today she was looking at the Vita games at Target and she asked me when I'm going to give her my Vita. It was a surprise to me because I wasn't expecting her to ask. But it looks like my OLED Vita will find a new home soon. I know, some of you are probably thinking "Wow, you're really gonna give the OLED?!" But yes I am. I want to so she can have the better console and we can both enjoy some Vita games.

I'm really excited because this year is my girlfriend and I's first time buying fireworks after the many times we've celebrated 4th of July.
