Happy Monday people of Pixlbit! A new week means the start of some pickups. I'm sure I'll be getting more this week so i'll keep you posted. To start off, a couple days ago I went to Target to look at the clearance section as always. I wasn't expecting too much since the last time I checked but I decided to look anyways. Sure enough I found a Playstation Move Navigation Controller. Luckily I found this for $5.26. I've been needing one so I can have the complete Playstation Move set. When I bought my PS3, it was the 320 gb Move Bundle but it didn't come with the Navigation Controller. I didn't see why it didn't but when I bought move games, I saw that most of them didn't really require the navigation controller unless it was SOCOM 4 or Killzone 3.

Since I finally got my hands on that controller, I thought it was time for me to build up my PS Move games library. I already had The House of the Dead 3&4 downloaded on my PS3 and also got Time Crisis 4 about a month ago. So at least I had a few good games for the move. I remember seeing some Move games on clearance at ToysRUs. So earlier today I stopped by my local store. Luckily they still had a container full of Move games. They weren't selling anyways but you might never know when that one customer who will buy all of the clearance games to flip them for profit. Sure enough I saw a game that sparked my interest.

I found Carnival Island for $10. Not bad for over 35 carnival games. At least that's what it says on the case. I thought about waiting for the clearance percentage to go down but by the time that happens someone would've already bought it or the store will sell it for full retail and put it back on the shelf. Sadly this happened to two games clearance games I thought of getting.

I browsed through the games section of the store and saw some Playstation accessories on clearnace. The good thing was that they had a blue sticker on them which meant it was 80% off. One of the items just so happened to be the Playstation Move Charging Station. What a coincidence right? So I saw the retail price was $29.99. But with the blue price sticker I scanned it and it came up to $3. Too good to pass up. So I decided to pick it up.

Later on during the day, I went to my local GameStop to find some cheap Move games. One of them was High Velocity Bowling. I like me a good bowling game. More fun in person though. A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I decided to go bowling since we haven't gone in so many years. Ever since then I've been wanting to get a bowling game. Wanted to get one for my 3DS but the reviews of the game I was looking at were bad. I downloaded a handful of bowling games on my iPad but it wasn't good enough. So for $3.50 I figured why not?

I thought to myself, "it would be more fun if my girlfriend played this game with me." All of a sudden, she calls me to the section where the store has used Playstation accessories and she found a Playstation Move Motion Controller that was still sealed in the box. She handed it to me and I asked the employee if the controller was new but converted to used. He replied "Yeah sometimes if an item like that has been sitting in the store for so long, we just slap the used sticker on it. But it's technically new." Of course me always looking at detail with the stuff I buy, I examine it to see if it really hasn't been open. Surprisingly it wasn't. So I bought it so my girlfriend can play some games with me too.

After GameStop, I wanted to check out Best Buy. As I was looking around, I remembered seeing the Wonderbook: Book of Spells game based off of Harry Potter. It's been on clearance for the longest time and I was surprised to see it every time I went to the store. So I showed my girlfriend and asked her what she thought of it and her exact answer was "psshh it's just $10. You should get it!" Well I wasn't going to argue with her. So after all these months of passing it up, I decided to get it.

Lastly, we went to Target again. The store's Cartwheel app (if you don't have it, I suggest downloading it for good deals) had an offer going for the electronics department. Wasn't that much but it was 15% off any item in the electronics department. Plus if you have a Target Red Card, that 5% will stack onto the deal. I've been wanting to get Toy Story Mania for my girlfriend and I. If you haven't played/rode it at Disney's California Adventure, YOU SERIOUSLY NEED TO! It's so much fun. And you will get a good arm workout. You'll know what I mean once you've gone on it. Anyways, so 20% off of the game sounded pretty good to me. I bought it for 360 a while back but returned it. Now I got it for PS3 and it should feel somewhat closer to the actual ride/game at DCA since my girlfriend and I will be using the Move controllers.

Well people of Pixlbit, I know this is a very long post but I hope you didn't get bored of me too fast. I hope you all have a great week and find some awesome pickups. I bid you all a fond farewell for now. Happy gaming!

BEYOND!

I'd love to pick up some Move controllers. I think there's a gun periferal you can put them in for the House of the Dead and Killzone 3 games.

Funny you should mention High Velocity Bowling. My friend Mark used to have a PS3 years ago and I still have him as a friend on mine. I was comparing games the other day and he had HVB on there. He played that a bunch when he had his system.

For some reason I felt like playing the Move after I saw it was on clearance and the games happen to be on clearance as well.

It seems like a decent bowling game. Worth $3 in my opinion.
