Crafting Mama Review

Boring project ideas and overdone mini-games make this one of the weakest entries into the Mama series.

The once expert chef, Mama, has become versatile over the years, expanding her skill repertoire to include gardening, and even babysitting. One of Mama's latest ventures has her creating homemade goods in Crafting Mama, a title that follows classic Cooking Mama convention, without any added frills.

Flip's Twisted World Review

A disappointing game that feels rushed and half completed.

It's really a shame the way Flip's Twisted World worked out. As someone who sorely misses puzzle platformers, I was incredibly excited at the prospect of getting to play a brand new game within my beloved genre. Sadly, it doesn't take long to realize the flaws within Flip's Twisted World, since each is apparent nearly immediately. Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter Review

It's a blast from the past, until you forget to save your game.

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter hearkens back to the first person shooters of yesteryear. There's no real attempt at story, objectives aren't included, and players need only focus on killing everything in sight and moving on to the next room to do it again. While many staples of modern day shooter design aren't present here, that doesn't mean it isn't an enjoyable romp.

Data East Arcade Classics is a collection of these works, some of which earn the title of classic and others which don’t even approach it.

A Boy and His Blob Review

I'm glad they took out the level where the boy and the blob escaped from authorities on a bicycle.

A Boy and His Blob originated as a unique side-scrolling game made by Activision co-founder and Pitfall creator David Crane for NES in 1989. The series made a pit stop on Game Boy in 1990 and languished in development hell for years, with both a Game Boy Advance and DS game announced and cancelled. Finally, the series is returning with WayForward's animated take on the story of how a boy and his blob saved Bloblonia.
