Black Box - Multiplayer Map

“Battle beside a downed Air Force One in "Black Box." Multi-level homes overlook the neighboring streets, creating a deadly kill zone for players on the ground. With clear sight lines from house to house, however, snipers are far from safe, with counter-sniping an ever-present threat to their dominance. Those that prefer close-quarters combat can succeed in the tight confines of the crashed airplane or in hunting down enemies posted up within any of the surrounding homes.” – Activision

Black Box is arguably the best map released in the Elite drops thus far as it offers just about everything you could ask for. From close combat fighting to sniping, there is something for everyone. While the map is fairly small, there is still a lot to it. The photo of the map makes it seem as if the plane crash is the center of the map, but in reality, it is just a small section. I do suggest staying away from this area because there are a lot of campers lying in the plane just waiting for you to step in. This plane is abused much like the plane in Terminal was in Modern Warfare 2.

The center of the map includes a multi-level building where you can view almost every area making for some pretty great sniping spots. Thankfully this is balanced by the fact that everyone can easily see you, which will often result in an abundance of quick deaths.  If you plan to snipe, you’ll need to be quick on your feet, constantly moving around the building so you aren’t so easily killed.

Surrounding this main construct are some smaller broken down buildings with very little amount of open space. This is where those close combat fights take place so be sure to be alert around every corner. As previously stated, there are so many types of available combat in this map, which makes it versatile and interesting. To maximize your win potential be sure to pick a gun you are comfortable using that suits your intended style.
