I am curious to know what the community thoughts are on past and present Anime.

I used to watch Full Metal Alchemist, but didn't stick with it for the whole run. I caught an episode the other night where the kid in the Armor suit gets his body back and I guess it ended that story arch for him. I'm not sure if the series is still on going or not, but I was always anticipating the day that kid would get his body back. It was kind of a sad episode. That's one of the things I like about Anime, is that they are sometimes sad, whereas Western cartoons tend to be for kids and always have happy endings, Anime is overly dramatic sometimes. I guess that's why it grabs you in the teenage years.

The other Anime I watched was 'Space Dandy'? I think it's from the creator of Cowboy Bebop, even has jazzy music. It's very loud and colorful and has to do with a bounty hunter and alien side kicks flying around space. The series is kind of silly and fun, and the main character is kind of sexist. It's on Toonami on weekends. It's a fun show.

My fav Anime

Akira
Neon Genesis: Evangelion
Gundam Wing
Ghost in The Shell (Film & TV)
Cowboy Bebop
Big O
Sailor Moon
Death Note
Miyazaki Films
Attack on Titan
Dragon Ball Z

I'm sure I'm missing some...?

My all-time favourite film is Castle of Cagliostro.  I tend to stick with films over series.  I enjoyed Cowboy Bebop quite a bit though.  I assume that is because of the similarities with the Lupin III.

The films that I love are the ones that people typically reference like Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Miyazaki's.

Castle of Cagliostro is great, caught it on Netflix a while ago.

I loved Full Metal Alchemist and am waiting for Netflix to get the last season of Brotherhood. Bebop is great.

I got introduced to a lot of good anime via Adult-Swim when it first did that sort of thing. For awhile I was hooked on Trigun,Samurai Champloo,Hellsing,Cowboy Bebop,Inuyasha,Spirit detecive, Witch-hunter robin, and Wolf Reign. I've also looked into the dark hearts of Ninja Scroll,Guyver,NHK,Return Of The Overfiend,Grave of the fireflies, and Akira.

Of course I'm a big Ghibli fan too. Most of us have probablly paid our respects to Secret world of Arietty, Princess Mononoke,Ki Ki's delivery service, and Ponya!

For awhile I also got into some Gonzo stuff. (Name of the studio) Blassreiter,Highschool of the dead,Trinity blood, and Vampire and a Rosario were all pretty entertaining. (Though the last one I mentioned is a shameless combination of highschool supernatural drama and the typical harem set up)

I'd also recomment Wolf children and Wolf & Spice.

I've been watching Attack on Titan the past few weeks and it's good. Harrowing but good. I've been meaning to jump into Full Metal Alchemist at some stage but theres just so much to get through. I think it's on Netflix though so I'll take a look one I finish Attack.

Hamatora caught my interest recently, it's odd.

It's about a group of "Minimum Holders," people that have superpower like abilities, triggered by a certain action (i.e. removing glasses.) And they run a detective agency and solve cases and stuff.

It's worth a watch if you get a chance.

I'm watching animaniacs and finished Psycho Pass only to find out there's a second season.

Watching the first half of Attack on Titan has me hyped!
