Two More Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Characters Revealed

Jean Grey as Phoenix and Mayor Mike Haggar are the latest stars to enter the game.

Jean Grey makes her way into Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as Phoenix, Marvel character with a powerful dark side. As Phoenix, she exhibits fire-based telekinetic powers, and one of her special attacks even transform her into Dark Phoenix, akin to "Evil Ryu"-like character transformations in prior iterations of the Vs. series.

Mike Haggar, mayor of Metro City, stars as the second newly announced addition. The former wrestler reportedly plays similarly to Zangief, being a grapple/suplex based fighter. Haggar can also attack with weaponry similar to Final Fight. An aerial attack using a large pipe was showcased in his announcement video. In addition, it appears that Metro City is a playable venue in the game.

I'm a fan of those variable characters that can transform a little bit in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. When we played the game a bit, I would annoy Chris as sunburned Sakura (Or... whatever her official transformation's name was).

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
