Space Marine Co-Op DLC Available Today
Called Exterminatus, Space Marine's huge DLC installment won't cost you anything.
Space Marine was released last month without any form of cooperative play available. It may have seemed like an oversight at the time, but THQ promised that it would be adding it shortly after launched. Today they keep their promise and it won’t cost you a dime.
The co-op mode supports up to 4 players and is dubbed “Exterminatus.” Much like Gears of Wars “Horde Mode,” Space Marine’s co-op will throw wave after wave of baddies at you and your. Each player can choose to don one of three classes: a Tactical Marine, Devastator or the Assault Marine. Each class has its own abilities and weapon load out.
As you mow through the rising tide of enemies you gain experience that will increase your rank. Leaderboards, score modifiers and something referred to as “dynamic challenges” will add some interesting wrinkles to the package and since it costs you nothing, I’d say you get a lot of bang for your buck.
The Exterminatus DLC is available on PlayStation 3 through the PSN and PC right now. It will also be available on the Xbox 360 at some point in the near future.
