Sony to Distribute PSP Game Vouchers to Retailers

Vouchers are being made to appease retail outlets who will no longer be able to carry PSP titles due to the PSPgo release.

Recently, European retailers raised quite a stink over the PSPgo. Due to the system's download-only approach, this meant retailers would be forced to offer the system without being able to also sell games to consumers.

According to Joystiq, Sony has approached the situation and resolved that they will distribute "Game Cards" in North America and PSN Vouchers in the UK.

In America, the Game Cards will contain a code good for download of what was once a retail title.

PSN Vouchers will contain a set amount of money on them, £20 or £50, but will not feature a particular game. According to Sony, Game Cards may eventually come to Europe, but for now only vouchers will be available.
