Starhawk Release Date Announced

The public beta has begun rolling out today as well.

Starhawk, the successor to 2007's Warhawk on the PlayStation 3, has now been given a release date. Players can get their hands on the new game on May 8, 2012. However, if you don't want to wait that long, you can at least whet your palette with the public beta, which begins today. The news was announced on the PlayStation Blog.

Players who were included in the private beta and PlayStation Plus members can participate now, while those who bought Uncharted 3 can redeem their beta code on January 31. Beta codes will be given out on February 7 through Gamestop and PlayStation's Facebook pages and IGN will give out codes on February 14, Valentine's Day. Finally, on February 21, everyone can get a code on the PlayStation Network and join the fray.
