New Characters Revealed for Street Fighter x Tekken

Videos show off Jin, Juri, and others.

We’re getting closer and closer to the March release date of Street Fighter x Tekken, the first half of the joint crossover project between Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada. Capcom has been pumping out the trailers on this slick new fighter, and today we get some new character reveals and gameplay footage.

First off is a cinematic trailer, which introduces Tekken mainstays Jin Kazama and Xiaoyu. Also shown are Juri and M. Bison of Street Fighter fame, and an indication that Jin will be transforming into his devil form.

Next up is a gameplay trailer, which shows off already confirmed characters like Rufus and Zangief, but also introduces Balrog and Vega for Street Fighter and Paul and Law for Tekken. Stick around after the logo for some…interesting footage of the PS Vita version.

I'm happy to see Juri included, as she was one of my favorite additions to Street Fighter IV.

I wonder at the point of producing so many (surely costly) cinematic videos, though.

Pac-Man and Megaman eh...hope they are in all of the versions...

I totally did not get that those were Pac-Man and Mega Man sillhouettes at the end there. I just thought it was a Japanese character. As in like a letter of our alphabet. I'm glad you pointed that out.

Yeah, I definitely hope they're in all versions of the game, including the two of them in the Vita version would definitely tilt more "casual" fighting fans who don't play with an arcade stick in that console's direction, though.
