Jet Set Radio Receives Summer Release Date on XBLA, PSN, PC

A contest for 18 new pieces of in game art was also announced.

As previously revealed, Jet Grind Radio (or rather Jet Set Radio) is going to see a return with a port of the original. We now know that's to a post on Sega's blog that an HD version of the tagging classic will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC this summer.

The game was originally released for the Sega Dreamcast back in November 2000 and immediately gained a loyal fan base who praised the title's soundtrack and design. As such, it's no surprise that Sega is also launching a contest to get 18 brand new piece of art to be used in game. Winners will receive a Bluetooth sound system and more.

It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
