Video for Unreleased Mutant League Game Surfaces

Video gives a sneek-peek of a current generation Mutant League sports title that got canned.

The Mutant League series is comprised of two titles that were first released during the 16-Bit era for the Sega Genesis. Mutant League Football (1993) and Mutant League Soccer (1994) were sports games published by EA that put a new spin on sports videogames.

Instead of normal human players, demons, aliens, skeletons, robots, trolls, among other interesting creatures comprised the team members. Instead or normal soccer/football rules, players had the option to "bribe the referee", or use one of several "Nasty Audibles" on the opposing team, which included electric shocks and jumping a foes goalie with the intent to kill.

Recently a video has popped up courtesy of Superannuation, depicting what was supposed to be the latest entry into the Mutant League sports series, titled Mutant League Resurrection. This version was supposed to be a multi-sports title, judging by the gameplay that can be seen on a football and hockey field. Apparently the closing of EA Chicago was the end of Mutant League Ressurection, as the project was terminated due to a lack of funding.

Here's the video of what could have been the next entry into the Mutant League sports series:

Aww man. Mutant League was awesome. And more football is always a good thing.
