New Super Mario Bros Wii Surpasses 10 Million Sold World Wide

The latest Mario console game is one of the fastest selling Wii games.

Nikkei has reported that New Super Mario Bros Wii has surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide.

Nikkei also provided a regional breakdown for sales of the game. In North America, New Super Mario Bros Wii has sold more than 4.5 million copies, in Japan more than 3 million copies have been sold, and in Europe almost 3 million copies were sold.

Hooray for awesome games getting sales that they properly deserve. Since I love platformers so much I hope we will see more of them soon.
