Tokyo Game Show Attendance Down

Though the last two years have been about equal, this year yielded a slightly smaller number of attendees.

With the conclusion of TGS 2009, the official numbers for the show have been released.

This year, 185,030 people visited the show. The attendance breakdown saw the most visitors on the last two days, the public days of the show. These were on average, double to triple the first two days which were restricted to business members only.

TGS 2008 and 2007 yielded 194,288 people and 193,040 people, respectively. This 10,000 attendee decline is solely on the public side as the conference has averaged the same number of business day visitors for the past three years.
