Bit.Trip Fate Release Date Announced

Gaijin Games has officially revealed the launch date of the upcoming on-rails shmup.

Today, Gaijin Games revealed that Bit.Trip Fate is due out on Nintendo's downloadable service in just under two weeks. The fifth title in the series will be releasing on October 25.

This latest entry in the series has main character, Commander Video, on a track with classic shoot-'em-up gameplay. Players will have full control of movement on the track and will be able to aim in any direction in the 2D world using the Wii Remote's pointing ability. Similar to most shmups, the world forces progression forward in order to progress the stage.

While not quite at bullet hell status, players will have to steer Commander Video around a number of bullets, though only having his heart hit, will cause damage.

When the title is released on WiiWare on the week after next, it will set players back 800 Wii Points, similar to the last entry in the series Bit.Trip Runner. This is a 200 Wii Point increase from the first three titles in the series.

Following release of Fate, only a single Bit.Trip title remains to be released.

I hope they release a trailer because I want to see how this game will play, and I will also wait for a review to see if the game is too challenging for its own good.
