Nintendo Power Announces Mega Man 10 for WiiWare

The Mega Man sequel will retain 8-bit graphics and will arrive early next year for WiiWare.

A recent preview posted by Nintendo Power revealed that Mega Man 10 is coming to WiiWare.

The sequel will retain the 8-bit graphics found in Mega Man 9 as well as the classic 2D gameplay. Like every other Mega Man title, once you defeat a robot master you will obtain his special weapon and you will be able to select stages in any order.

During the game you are tasked to find pieces of a vaccine creation device in order to cure robots of a virus called Robotenza. The virus causes robots to overheat and go out of control.

One feature that Mega Man 10 will contain is the ability to select other characters. In the game you will be able to select Proto Man who will have all his abilities from Mega Man 9. Another playable character will be available, however, Capcom didn't reveal to Nintendo Power who the playable character is.

One new robot master that Nintendo Power revealed is Sheep Man. Sheep Man can turn himself into clouds and attack with electrical bolts. When you defeat Sheep Man, you will earn Thunder Wool, which floats at an angle and then releases an electrical bolt.

Mega Man 10 will be released in early 2010.
