Valve looks to reward players for some healthy competition.

As Valve announced yesterday, players are literally going to have to fight for their next upcoming Team Fortress 2 patch.

While many of the patches in the past have given players new maps, achievements, surprises, and weapons for both the Soldiers and Demoman's, this patch will take it to a new level.

Called the War Update, it will contain all the contents of the previous patches, releasing them bit-by-bit over the course of one week. However, the main difference is the inclusion of a fourth gun, which will be awarded to either the Soldiers or Demoman's.

In order for Valve to select which race to give the gun to, they decided to make a competition out of it among their players. The race with the most kills will be the lucky recipients of the new weapon.
