Atlus will localize their throwback dungeon crawler in early 2013
The title says it all - Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan will be localized for North America and is scheduled to release early next year. While this news is not likely to surprise anyone considering Atlus has localized every game in the franchise thus far, it’s still comforting to have official word from the publisher.

We all know that war is ugly. But what if someone found a way to make it so freaking adorable that any moral qualms you might have about the whole concept went out the window? Well, War of The Human Tanks sure does its best by making battles across the oh-so-fictionalized land of “Japon” into a cute-fest on a game board. It’s rare that I can use the word “charming” to describe a game, and rarer still when I play a game that puts a steady smile on my face. Somehow in the chase for realistic polygon models, normal mapping, and Euphoria physics engines we lost a little bit of that magic that got us into gaming in the first place. That’s where Mutant Mudds comes into the picture—a game that may play on my nostalgia for the 8- and 16-bit days of gaming, but does so with skill and style.
