True Revelation of Naga and the Smashed Emblemier

Nothing new has happened since I last wrote a blog but I guess no news is good news in some cases.

Two (three if versions count) titles caught my interest this month: Revelation of the Illusion #FE and Fire Emblem If: Hoshido/Nohr. Revelation of the Illusion (previously known as Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem) had me wondering how the game mechanics were going to play out. Now I have an idea. Not exactly what I thought but I’m more curious about it now. Won’t be getting a Wii U anytime soon but I can get ready for Fire Emblem If. I’m going to get the Nohr version but unlike my Awakening game I will have multiple playthroughs for the Hoshido and Option Three DLC when they come out. Though how will Option Three play out? If Hoshido is to restore peace and Nohr is to take over then will Three be a full scale revolution against both sides? I just hope the StreetPass feature comes back in If and hopefully take it up a notch by using QR codes. On a side note about Fire Emblem I just learned in Awakening you can lock and update Avatars and DLC characters in the avatar logbook and just buy them back if they’re defeated. So now I have some shameful cannon fodder to work with. But seriously this really saves me some time with DLC characters considering how long these battles can last. I had to go through this map just to get Lyn again.

After seeing the Smash Ballot announcement and a little campaign with Wayforward I went ahead and voted for Shantae. Despite voting already I had an idea for a fighter, while representing Golden Sun (a favorite series of mine): Sveta.

Not only is she a powerful brawler (a first for a Wind Adapt AND Adapts in general) but her transformation would make a Final Smash. I've already voted but if anyone else who is a Golden Sun and still haven't vote here's your chance. As for me I was going to put in a second vote but decided against it at the last minute so I'll be promoting Shantae For Smash until October.

Close to fighting the Elite Four on Alpha Sapphire but at the moment I’m setting up my “gym” in-game while leveling the Pokemon I chose for the task, which includes a Castform and Cosplay Pikachu (her EV training is MAX Speed and HP so she really needs the levels).

The next Fire Emblem coming to 3DS has me on board right away, but the SMT X FE on Wii-U has me curious but not crazy for it.

I'm actually more excited for FE If than Revelation FE, especially with there being a third option, which will hopefully not be like the ending to War Games.

I thought about submitting a vote for Captain Syrup for that Smash ballot thing, but Shantae sounds cool, too.

I guess it would even it out a bit for the Mario cast by having a new Wario character to play.

But with Wayforward on a roll with the Shantae franchise it doesn't make it easy when they're more than glad to see their character in Smash.

Didn't know you could vote more than once, so those are good news to me. My first vote was pretty much for Simon Belmont since he pretty much represents NES Castlevania, not to mention his (very bad though) appearance on Captain N.
