Fox Tale Quill Pen, Writting About Classics and Lady Tails

I’ve been playing much more of New Vegas as of late but I started a new character with a different build I didn’t think I’d actually go with, The Prostitute (minus the DLC trait Skilled). So far she’s doing great though remembering some things from my sniper character helped with a few things, such as getting ED-E and Boone quickly. I have been getting around and even had ED-E kill some Legionnaires on the Booted mission. There has been one problem and this is most likely because of a mod I’ve been using. I’ve downloaded a mod from Nexus to add two “races”, Red and Silver Fox. Originally I did it just for kicks but then had a backstory I’ll write up later. To the point of the problem there has been an odd character model glitch. She looks kind of slanted and her extended arm are awkwardly posed. Even bringing up the Pip-Boy the left arm poses in an odd position to the point it’s difficult to look at the screens. I’ll have to look into any files I might have required to use it but to “fix” my glitch I have to reload a previous manual save. Sure the last save and the current one was finishing up the Fly Me To The Moon mission but if this is going to be a constant thing that I can’t fix then I better back up my sniper’s saves.

Sometime last week I went to the local Goodwill with Mom and took a look around. I managed to find an old GameStop GBA pouch, a shirt , and a little something to add to my game collection.

I’m not much of a fan of GTA but I did like playing around on the third game (cruised down Liberty City in a Rhino Tank when I wasn’t blowing up cars with a rocket launcher) so I figured I would add it to my physical library.

On a final note I have been writing some reviews, just not here. I have mentioned this before in a previous blog but to quickly mention it again I have applied for a writer position on another site. I got the position and have been doing a few reviews since last month. My day job doesn’t help much but I have been doing what I can. I have considered linking my reviews here but I have been iffy on the ethics of linking articles from one site on another site that does the same, even through just a normal user account such as this one.

Anyways, it’s late and I need to wrap this up. I have a few weeks of work ahead of me before my vacation and I need to figure out what I should do before and then. Till next time.

Link it up! Cary does it with GamerDad articles all the time. I want to read your stuff too.

I concur. Nothing "unethical" about spreading your stuff around.

Next blog, I guess.

Yeah, trust me I know how it can feel to be the "self-promoter" and how people might look at that/how you might look at yourself because of how you saw other self-promoters. But it is absolutely a necessity if you want to get your stuff out there. It's nothing to be ashamed of, even if you end up annoying a few people to get to the ones who want to access your stuff.

And since you're writing for someone else, I'm sure they would appreciate you spreading the word on their behalf if you want to think of it that way.

I would like to see the reviews you've posted. Maybe you could ask the site's director if it is allowed to "promote" your stuff outside the site. Maybe what you only need is a disclosure or something.

It was mentioned in the outline I can promote my reviews outside of the site. It's just I wasn't sure about linking them here.
