Another Harvest Has Come

Earlier this month the graphic card in my dad’s PC started to give up the ghost. We did get a new (a GeForce GTX 750ti) but it didn’t arrive on the day it was suppose to come. We then discovered that it was delivered to the wrong building but luckily the people that lived there turned it in. So now we’re back in business.

The only thing left to do is take care of the old graphic card. Dad said he heard a rumor about putting the card in the oven to melt the soldering to reconnect the innards but I have a better idea: I decided to take the JonTron approach.

Also I’ve found a few games. The first two games I’ve found at Goodwill. I was actually surprised to find a copy of Star Trek: Elite Force among the many CD jewel cases. I tried it out on my laptop and it works just fine. The other one, which is a Myst-esque adventure game based on The Time Machine, had some problems installing. I need to take a look at it sometime but I can’t really complain since the each of those games cost $1 a piece.

The last game was “presented” to me in an interesting and perhaps disturbing way. I was taking the trash out Monday afternoon and from the right of me I saw something fly by and land on the driveway to the lot across from me. I thought to myself “what the hell was that, a CD?” I went to check out the disc and it turned out to be the Spider-Man movie game for the GameCube.

 Spider-Man disc

Three thoughts came to mind. The first was what were the circumstances of causing this GameCube to go flying past me. I’m sure that, whether it was at me or not, someone threw the game in my direction but when I turned around there was no one in sight. The second was who would throw a game disc like that, even with a decent one. And the third was why wasn’t it Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

At the moment I’m installing Wildstar to check out the game (it’s “F2P” so might was well try it) but I won’t be able to play until tomorrow after work. Also trying out a couple of other games in between. To end this blog I would like to say I’m internally hyped for Hoopa coming this Friday while at the same time I’m dreading to work then as well as the hotspot not working for my 3DS.

Until next time.

PS: Sorry for the vertical shots. Didn't think to edit them.

I know, I know, you're supposed to use the clothes washer.  I'm not stupid! Tongue Out

I couldn't put any bad PC in the clothes wash if I wanted to. That would cost me $1.50. Anyways, enjoy your new PC.

I have the PS2 version of Star Trek Voyager Elite Force. It's on my list to play real soon. I remember my friend Mark playing the PC version way back when and liking it.
