Hanging up my Warframe

Warframe Login Screen - Showcasing my Warframe Mag

I have been playing Warframe for about a week to get back into it. I enjoyed it at first because it's a really good game. I've even had a new Warfame constructed on my landing craft's Foundry. It was sometime later that the grind got to me. Not only did I have to farm for blueprints and materials for new equipment and grind for exp but if I wanted to make a certain build I would have to either caugh up some cash or farm for a certain item to allow more mod cards to be installed. While there is a bit of a grind in Final Fantasy Explorers I've enjoyed it more (outside from my softspot of a multiplayer Final Fantasy from my FFXI days) because not only there is no level grinding (just equipment, custom abilities, and skills) but I have accomplished more in Explorers than I have in Warframe. So until I have more time or money to do anything I'm hanging up Mag and Ember for the time being.

But speaking of Final Fantasy Explorers I think I got the build I wanted. When it was close for the game to be released I wanted to be a Dread Pirate. This build was essentially a debuff/stat inflicter with guns. After some oil burning and killing that bastard Fenrir more than 6 times (Eidolons never die, they just respawn more pissed than ever) I've unlocked Machinist, aquired some job armor, and made some custom abilities after spending nights getting certain mutations to stick and stack. While she's not exactly the Dread Pirate I expected she turned out to be a neat Steampunk Corsair.

My FFExplorers character Freydis

My work and effort in Custom Abilities

Now I have already renamed these abilities (a niffty feature I like since I've came up with names like Hip Shot and Dark Hallow) but the numbers next to the original ability are the times I caused a mutation to happen. This took time because the Crystal Surges needed for create a mutation are random. And not only that some of the abilities could get one of two mutations (like my Arm Shot and Leg Shot could have either Range Factor or Range Up). It was worth the time, though.

Now I need to get back into Pokemon, though that may be a problem since I'm about to get Fire Emblem Fates Revelation after I'm done getting this blog posted and linked. Refer to my previous blog about how I felt about the situation that was going on with the game(s). That out of the way I actually wanted to get Revelation and play that first since I wanted to take door number 3 on the game.

And of course it wouldn't help me either if my interest in making a game is coming back. Recetly I have been reading Masters of Doom and I'm getting inspired to do some kind of game. But I'm going to work with what I got, and since I wanted to make an RPG I'm going to start with the Shadowrun Content Editor. This time I'm going to do it right: I'm going to watch the tutorials and practice before starting a project. But I think I'm going to need a bit of help, both resources and criticism. For resources I want to make my campaigns feel natrual to the Shadowrun universe. I might ask my local Comic & Tabletop shop for that. For criticism I suppose I can use Nexon to test my campaigns. As for story I think I might have a person.

After my review of War: 13th Day was published (I recommend it so click here for the official site) I replied to the developer on their message to the article. We've DM'd a bit and they said they could give some advice. I might take them up on their offer if my practice pays off.

Till next time.

I like the Shadowrun world a lot.  I'm currently DMing a D&D game, but afterwards I'd like to do Shadowrun or Star Wars.

Good luck on your game!

Thanks. I already have an idea in mind for a mini series to start off with. Once I get the hang of the editor I'll hopefully pull it off.

After not taking to Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, it was recommended to me to go right to Revelations because it's the best of the three parts. If I have time, I think I'll do that.

You mean as in story? I've been engaged with some debate on the localization. I doubt the support dialogue changed but if the story is better...

The weird way i was playing it, a half hour here, half hour there, made it difficult to follow the story.

A bit of a late reply.

Started playing it a couple of weeks ago. Kind of questioning the story localization or not.
